Ready for the Apocalypse EveryDay…

It's the end of the world as we know it.  Again!  The Mayan calendar seems to have had a lot of predictions about the end of the world in recent years.  The latest one coming tomorrow, December 21st.  I'm actually quite amazed by how many different dates they set in place as possibilities.  I guess even they didn't believe their own predictions and had back-ups just in case!

Tomorrow could be the end of days.  Or maybe nothing at all will happen.  In either case, what's interesting to me is that the Mayans have given us something to think about – a chance to wake up to the present of what is right now & live as if it's all going to end very soon.

I've learned that we all need tons of reminders EveryDay to live in the present, appreciate what we have, live with purpose, and do the best we can with the life we were given.  Maybe the Mayans were on to something – strategically placing random end-of-world dates every so often so that we can pause & remember to live.  Maybe their message is just to learn to be ready for the end EveryDay & make sure you're truly living in the Now.
