My WORD for 2021 is…

What’s your WORD for 2021?

At the end of every year, as if by magic, a word or phrase usually pops into my head that becomes my theme for the year ahead. That word or phrase guides my actions from a deeper place. And it works. Year after year!

But how do you choose your word for 2021?

This year, I waited.  Nothing came.  I meditated on it.  Nothing.  And then, I did what I always do when I get stuck:

I started a list.  Free-writing words that came to my mind.  It was a long list:

As I said, it’s a long list.  At the end of it, I thought “I love ALL these words! I want ALL of it!”

So why not have it ALL in 2021?  Yes.  I looked at the list again.  And I realized:

To have it ALL, for the year ahead, each day I’d need to RISE + SHINE!

So, that’s it.  My Word for 2021 is:

RISE + SHINE!
