How You Can Do It…
Who Am I? Why Am I Here? What Am I Meant to Do? And Can I Do It?
EveryDay of the year, day in and day out, I ask myself these questions. I am a seeker, searching for answers and hoping to learn something at every turn. Maybe that's why I write and read so much. And maybe that's why I find myself at conferences like the one I attended over the weekend,"I Can Do It," where I finally got to see one of my favorite motivational speakers, Wayne Dyer.
I do learn something EveryDay wherever I go and whatever I do. But often, like most of people, I'm not always awake enough, aware or present enough to listen, to see, to get it right away. The learning part of life isn't always immediately obvious, until I start to pause a little in my EveryDay to pay attention.
One of the many things I learned at this conference was that it's hard. It's hard work to learn, to improve, to transform. I already knew this lesson well, because I've been living it every time I try to do these things. But it reminded me why it's so hard for people to even attempt to transform in their EveryDay lives. And that reminded me of the importance of being more compassionate with others who seem to be on their own journey.
We can all do it, whatever our "it" is, when we're ready & open to "it" and to the work that will lie ahead. And having the support of others will always make all the difference.
Today's reminder to myself: Be More Compassionate. Everyone is fighting their own battle.
