How To Mind Your Thoughts…
They say the average person has anywhere from 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day. That's a whole lot of thinking! The Buddhist term for this is 'monkey mind', meaning that the mind is constantly restless and all over the place.
And what are we thinking? Usually lots of the same from day to day – thinking of the past, the future, mistakes made, worrying, or planning ahead. Our mind is everywhere but here in the present moment. And with the same thoughts over & over again, there really isn't much space for new thoughts.
What to do? If you want to control your monkey mind, you really need to be more aware of your thoughts. You have a choice about the thoughts you think. Pay attention. Mind Your Thoughts.
