I Have a Dream…

Today we honor the birthday and the memory of Martin Luther King Jr, a civil rights icon who fought discrimination and racism in the 1950s and 1960s.  He had a dream that we could all live in a world where people would be treated equally regardless of their color.  He fought for his dream and gave it his all against all odds.  Civil rights was finally put at the top of the agenda, and today we live in a much different world, a much better world because of a beautiful dream that he did not let go of.

We all have dreams for ourselves and for the world we live in.  Yet so often we give up too soon:  We're lazy, afraid, deterred, unmoved, resigned to do anything about them.  We think our dream is impossible.  We think it'll take too much time and effort, and the risks are too great.

Dreams do take a lot of work.  Dreams require dedication.  Everything that matters takes work and effort.  But the reward of pursuing an incredible dream is invaluable.

Today & EveryDay:  Follow Your Dreams.
